ur analogy between darjeeling and ktm does not make sense. first of all, population of darjeeling is mostly nepali speaking nepalese with rai community as majority and second of all, it was part of Nepal once. but was ktm ever part of india? does ~ 29 million nepalese speak HINDI? do u even know how much of the entire population does the so called madhesis represent?

i agree people migrate but i also know they assimilate to the culture and adopt the way of the life whereever they go. however, in our case, immigrants and their decendants and their elected leaders are more interested in making Nepal a second Bihar instead of calling it HOME. today, u saw their decendants protesting to support HINDI speaking politician and if we remain mute it is difficult to predict what's gonna happen next. I think most of us are hypocrites: we love to watch hindi movies, we sing hindi songs, like to get dressed up as indian actors, love to follow typical indian traditions... so many.. we never get focused on what we really are. It won't make us true Nepali just by cussing Indians, it won't make us respectful in front of other nepali letting them know how much we hate hindi language. we must stop singing hindi song while taking shit! I don't have to let any one know how much i love Nepal, I can even challenge anyone of you  in one on one nepali speaking competition. Change must come from within. If we had not elected or given power to our stupid politicians, Paramananda Jha would not have been Vice president today. He is doing what is right for him, since he has not forgotten his root. I agree that VP Jha should have not taken the oath in Hindi as it plays with sentiments of the people ,but then you guys have to understand that hindi and maithali is widely spoken in terrai .

HINDI is widely spoken re-this means Nepal is all flatlands. so the book is wrong to say 20% plains and 80% pahad. i think u are confused. most nepalese know HINDI but doesn't speak-and u thought it is widely spoken. most dhotis don't know NEPALI and don't speak. now the question is - WHY we don't speak HINDI cause it is NOT our language and it is not even on our language list but it is on INDIA's list. u may be looking at this list and got confused again-poor u.

तर सपथ ग्रहण सच्याउने नै हो भने उपराष्ट्रपती परमानन्द झाको मात्र हैन प्रधान मन्त्री माधव कुमार नेपालको पनि सच्याइनु पर्छ। संवैधानि ब्यबस्ता अनुसार कि त ईश्वरको नाममा या जनता को नाममा सपथ लिनु पर्छ। हाम्रा प्र. म. ज्युले सपथ ग्रहणको क्रममा "कि...... कि........"  भनेर न त ईश्वर भनेका न त जनता नै। टोपी लगाएर नेपाली भट्याकै भरमा उनले चैं किन छुट पाउने?

What Jha has done is absolutely wrong. He should have taken oath as per constitution of Nepal says.That doesnot mean every madeshi people living in terai or in nepal is  loyal to india. If one group of people is doing vandalism in the country that doesnot mean whole madeshis are culprit. If Jha has is wrong that doesnot mean every madeshis are wrong. When i first knew Jha taking oath in Hindi  , i was shocked. I was one of them criticizing him. But the main point is that i found  this post is treating every madeshis living in terai as anti-nepalese which is infact not true at all. This will only hurt the sentiments of people not more than that.If these things continue to carry on, one day it will come a true nepali madeshi will convert into anti nepali. There are few groups who are trying to disturb peace in the country that's what it is.We people are just carried by it. Donot give name "dhoti"to people living in madesh.They are our people. They are nepali. I dont mind saying Jha as Dhoti as he has done dhoti's kind of act. Lets put our hand together and work with every cummunity and every race of Nepal. Madeshsis are also one of them.
