what do u think about the difference in a girl and boy'a age should b? does the difference of 6-8 yrs affect a relationship? or there is no such age factor. people mostly recommend thedifference of 2-3 yrs . why is it so

me and my wife have 10 yrs age difference. we have good understanding, we have 1 beautiful daughter. Go ahaead it dosen't matter.

It doesnot matter to Nepali but it does matter to westerners.

A married life is like two ox in a cart, age difference does not make much difference as long as you are in the same boat.  No matter where you are it makes lot of differences, man do not say it does not to Asian people.
According to your age, the thought process will be differ from other age, You may be more mature and she may be childish, she may act like a teen and you may act in different era. Compatibility and understanding will be different as the time passes.

It DOES matter. Wives should be older than husband. Women live longer, so if you are older, the two can die together. Since this is not acceptable by our tradition, at least marry a guy your own age, intellectually, the two will be in the same boat.

Oh, yahaaa, I am a weed. If your unmarried, be my guest to marry a girl or a guy ( if you are a male), 15/16 older than you are.  If you are a male, are you going to marry a girl over 10/15 years than you are?

meera are you marrying for the sake of societal norms or for your own sake? age doesn't matter please look beyond all the drama of how you have been injected with the belief that age matters for marriage.

Cy, I was being sarcastic when I made the above comments. Our community is obsessed with age, caste, social norms, have to produce a son, etc. so I was trying to inject some humor and sarcasm. Obviously, I failed :)

Sy, don't men marry ladies 15/16 younger than them? Sadly the other way doesn't happen in Nepal at least.

ahhh i see.... but my thinking is if you are old enough say past 21 or an adult to make that call to marry someone regardless of how old the other person is then that is totally up to the individual. it might seem like a taboo to a lot of ppl but if the parties involved are happy with it then i say go for it. as for your point where women are forced to marry young girls then YES that is wrong
