Yeah I was also wondering if they ask for RFE what are the chances of OPT being approved.

Bro/Broni..
did you have real bad record in US or what...never heard anybody receiving RFE for OPT. not sure about your background, but even people from community college have received OPT without any issues. I do not think you will have any issues though. RFE could for simple missing documents.

Just provide the docs they need. you will be fine. If they had to deny , they would not ask for RFE, they could deny it that time.
They asked for my I-20 and the reason was my i-20 reached USCIIS after 30 days the adivsor signed it.

Let me share my experience..I got 3 RFEs for OPT and it was my first OPT and not the STEM extension.
1st RFE, after 2 months of the opt application
Message:Send the graduation certificate and the employer ID number...
I was like " seriously? I don't have an employer yet."
My international advisor told me to reply them accordingly I sent them my grad certificate and wrote a letter saying I am not employed yet and I need EAD to work plus my original application documents.
2nd RFE, 2 months later
Exact same message.
Already 4 months passed and now I didn't even feel like applying for jobs since I was not sure if I will ever get my EAD.
I sent them the copy of my first RFE and the copies of documents I sent for my first RFE and I asked them why I had been asked same thing again and again.
.I called National Customer Service Center (NCSC): 1-800-375-5283
but that didn't help me much.
I even took an infopass to the USCIS office and the lady working there was nice. We discovered that my case number was different in my I-765 notice and subsequent RFEs. That meant my application somehow got mixed up with another applicant. She told me to email TSC.Ncscfollowup@dhs.gov including my complete situation and my case number. I thought that was it and
I was on the way to get my EAD. Guess that wasn't true.
3rd RFE: 1 month later
Exact same freaking message. Then I went to my international student office and told the advisor that it's been so harsh on me.
I didn't even bother replying to the RFE but this time the school sent out some request or something and my OPT was approved within a week.
Moral of the story:
1. Keep replying to whatever they ask you for. You lose ur status if you don't reply RFE within the stipulated time.
2. Keep a record/photocopy of whatever communication exchange u have between USCIS and yourself.
3. If you can get your international student office communicate with the USCIS early enough, chances are that your application will be expedited.
4. Last and not the least you deserve to get the EAD since you already completed your studies. For no reason they are not gonna let you not have your EAD card.
So good luck and keep looking for job.

I had exactly same case. What happend to u? did u ever get your EAD. I did some of research and i foind out that in those case they will reject application so i had to join university. Although job market was tough i would wanted to give my best shot. But this 30 day rule is aweful and sad part was my ISO had no idea about that rule.

Hi bro,
Don't worry about the RFE...kasai kehi hunna....aba timile CPT ma 1 year bhanda extra kaam garya cha ani timro major STEM Extension ma pardaina bhane OPT ma problem aauncha......but still in that case you might have chance to get 6 month OPT if you can convince your advisior so that they can send some doc extra to USCIS...if your major falls under STEM OPT then you will get OPT.
Regarding the RFE i think they may have asked for Job letter etc...you can send them offer letter from your company if you don't have offer letter you can join any consulting company they will give you everify identification number along with offer letter and you should be good.
If you don't know the consulting company info etc send me your contact info i will send you some company info.
Good Luck.
