We have to learn from the past and what I see is that there is no single leader who is capable of handling the situation of Nepal right now. They are all either not effective public communicators or they lack the charisma. The king has that charisma and sadly so does the opposing Maoist leaders.
Did you know that The King's command of english language is superb. He speaks with fluency and effectively. I heard him on Public Channel interview on a program about survivng Monarchy.

Look at what he does not what he says. I woudl suggest we use the same standard to judge the king that he used to dismiss the democratic government. he dismissed Deuba by calling him incompetent as Deuba could not negotiate an effective solution to Maoists. Well, using the same standard, monarchy should be demolished as he was unable to make any headway either. So after he is elimited from the picture, there should no reason for insurgency to continue as the new constitutiona assembly and new constitution should give a level playing field to all the political factions to compete for the heart and mind of Nepali people in the ballot box. Those people who keep supporting the king is like a parrot who has learned only one phrase and keeps repeating it. They show an inability to think outside the box, and keeo repeating the same mistake. As you must have heard, insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result.
