I have an idea ... let's test something ... let's see how well we can vote in a BLOCK... let's see how we can mobilize people for a cause ... even if it is to VOTE in the worst singer that American Idol has ever had on the top 10. Vote for Sanjay Malakar every Tuesday after the show... let's see if we can get him to the top 6 and if we can ... then I have some ideas on how we can form a political Thinktank outside of Nepal to help Nepal develop into a florishing democracy and not this crayzy world envisoned by Pushkar Kamal Dahal!!

Let's see how we Nepali can unite for a cause ...

What bollocks! Here I am condemning people for voting/asking to vote an indian who's being mistaken as a Nepali and here they are, telling me not to care who his dad is. I know his name is "Sanjaya" and I know his father is an Indian and his mother is from Italy --- Napels --- is that close enough to Nepal :) --- I was just trying to see how much of an influence we can affect in the US ... and if Sanjaya (for your pleasuer I will spell it in Indian way from now on) wins the American idol then my point is that we can make anything happen!! We, meaning Nepali community at large ... if we can make a winner out of a bad angreji singer who is half indian half italian ...then we can achieve anything as a VOTING block...

this is racism. let the best singer win. i really dont like the idea to vote him/her just because he/she is from nepal/india. its free competition. but the result did surprise a lot because he does not seem to be very good singer to be in top 12 or something. there must be lot of people who voted aggressively for him considering him as an indian origin guy. this is very similar to the sentiments of terai people in nepal who always ask to vote for terai people if there are other candidates from hill area. i dont care who is this guy, but that is wrong thing to do to vote him just by his origin rather than his talent. let people decide.

No No ... you misunderstand ... this has nothing to do with racism (that's that other thread :)). If he was a bad white/black/yellow/ singer ... I would also say vote for him ... my point here is to try to see how effctive as a voting block we can be!! A strong Nepali BLOCK to support an underdog with BAD voice and see if we can make him a winner... that's all! I just wanted to prove to all of us that we are POWERFUL voting BLOCK if we all stick together!!
