Hello All Nepali people,

The following is the link of Mumbai meri Jaan (2008) that says Nepal was a part of India. It's not just CC2C that's bullying Nepal. Watch the following link from between 3rd minute of the clip till 4th minute. I am not tellling you guys to come to the street and break the glasses. I am just requesting all the nepali to fight for our rights in proper way. It's time we show some unity and do something good to stop India's bullying to Nepal. Nice one. Really, what this dhotis are trying to show? This movie is saying all pakistan, bhutan, srilanka, nepal are part of india. what a funny. i don't know much about bhutan, srilanka, but when india capture nepal. when Nepal take this from India. so funny: stupid people.

But it clearly says tht nepal was once a part of India (read the english subtitle)........ timro bichar ma India vanni World matra exist thiyo kya ho full maya?...............

It is a good thing that we are united for good cause. Government of nepal banned "Chandini chowk to india" and i see other efforts done by sajha members to write to warners bros. as a way of protest by nepalese. Howerver the movie clip you posted above says nothing as you say. and i am sorry i have to aggree with fully maya. It says about the bigger india/ indian subcontinet some 10000 years ago.

You have done your best to raise the issue. Please make further comment if you realized the issue you raise was not relevent. Atleast we could have a healthy discussion this way and not just give mega speecha that  destabalise and demoralize the nepali community like leaders of today.

this clip said that all those nations were part of India back then and that was "Akhanda Bharat" (holy crap!) and which was snatched from them. damn when was Nepal a part of India? oops Not india, "Akhanda bharat"?? geographically these parts were never one, India, Pakistan and bangladesh were one country before, but later got disintegrated.. Nepal was divided into small parts/countries and even India too.

Issue raised here is worth pondering, and I agree that this doesnt mean that we go out in street and protest for this, stop the traffic, No, neva do that, just sharing these information with each other n thinking n working for the unity of the nation, is wat initiater of this thread expected and I agree with bhusiakukur's comment. My friend (obviously indian) comes over to me and asks me "Do you guys really hate us so much?" What am I to say? Friend first or country? I say "well not me personally, just some people take it too seriously". And when the teacher came in and broke the news to the class, EVERYONE started laughing!! "Why are they so crazy? and the fact is Hritik Roshan didn't even say ANYTHING!" "What sheep!".. While I was trying to hold back my anger, I also couldnt help but feel they were right!.

No one had done anything, but due to "ek kaan dui kaan maidaan" everyone was boiled up over some non-existant matter!

Let me clear few of the confusions going on. I read Atit's comment and found that he/she hasn't seen the clip properly. It doesn't talk abt subcontinent but has used those words Mr. Perfectionist has stated in this thread. Perfectionist, I totally agree with u. Good to see tht u understood the thing and the reason behind this thread. U have clearly stated your words and has strengthen this thread.

And to all frens, let me tell u a thing. This thread isn't abt arrising agression on you but on raising awareness abt wht's going on. The question is tell when? Till when will all these bull shits go on?

There's no point in vandalising the public property or burning cinema halls in Nepal. Destryoing our property for others will b making fool of ourself. We should go by peace and approach some different yet strong approach. We got to do this. If not us, who will?

I agree tht there might be many other issues to bring forward. We will certainly do our best. Change begins from us and we all are responsbile for better Nepal.  But I feel the issue tht has been coming up recently  isn't an issue tht should be kept silently as we are a soverign country and not under 'Akhanda Bharat's" rule.

wow wow wow great ! what a news ! well i had nice previlege to watch that movie clip. I am so much surprised that so called genius indian film writer or dialogue writer does not know that india was part of nepal. Thats why nepal is the only hindu kingdom in the world. May be the Indian people do not know that once INDIA WAS PART OF NEPAL . we used to rule in india from everest. British invaded all over india but could not invade in the present nepal because of the Hills and Himalays. British people invaded then NEPAL starting from NOW INDIA  thats how they came upto the Nalapani Killa. Guys don't worry these indian movie makers are trying to take of the advantage of weak governemnt in Nepal. They are in game plan to spread the rumors that Nepal was part of India which is infact harmful for themselves. Now the question arises that is the indian government not aware of these things? Yes they know everything. During the censorship they check everything which shoudl be edited or which not but its really surprised matter that indian censor board gave permission that means indian government is also involved in this game plan. Its a very simpel way to think.

Guys I think we nepalese people need to produce couple of nepali clips or movie that proves nepal's independency and free sovergnity. I know what ever i said above is just my opinion but if we are determined to our opinon we can prove that How big nepal was. like Greater Nepal.

I am little confused with one thing (should i say a statement). Was lumbini once a part of India? Did Nepal took tht from India? Nikhil Advani says sorry to Nepalese  for CCTC but then he says tht Lumbiini was once of India and thus they said buddha was born in India in tht movie. Watch the following clip. Like you many Nepali grow up without some basic knowledge of world history to even compare if the fact is true or not. Using your common sense, you can answer a lot of doubt. I've not seen the movie nor do I care to read all the postings, interview etc etc. Anybody can claim anything. I rely on scholars writing and research.
Before 500 BC, the world did not have too much history, borders and written scripts, if any, were primitive. The Greeks were the most advanced civilization during those period in the West, at least they have clear records of the time period. On the Asian side, present day Chinese were the most advanced.
With that set aside, no matter what India claims about their civilization, during the period of Buddha, there was no concept of a unified India (Bharat) nor there was Nepal. There were simply many kingdoms.One of them was Nanda Empire on the norther border of present day India, it included Nepal and Bihar state. Around 320 BC, Chandragupta (grandfather of Ashoka) started the Maurya dynasty and took over Nanda and spread around a few more territoy. Then came Asoka who was the first one to unite India all the way except of the souther tip near modern day Kerala. Yes, we were part of modern day India during the Maurya dynasty.
Now coming to the point, 3 hundred years before Askoa, Buddha was born. At that time, there was no concept of a unified India. Before the Nanda Empire, there was no India, period. Buddha was born before the Nanda Empire. So to claim that Buddha was born in India is nothing but India flexing their power.
Here's something to think about and compare with your common sense and logic.
Jesus Christ was born in Jerusalem and it was under the rule of the Romans. If asked, where Jesus was born, everybody will answer "Jerusalem" and NOT "Rome". Technically according to the India's logic, Jesus was born in Rome, Italy. It does not matter how the past (which of course is very blurry....remember, history is always written by the powerful group over the other) relate to an incident, what matters is PRESENT. Lumbini is in PRESENT day Nepal.
