Every person has their personal problems. Solving nations problems doesnt mean it will solve their too.
i am happy for what happen in nepal but for all those asylum seekers its a very bad news. it will be very hard for you to explain in interview because for them (US) there is no maoist army now.
you can say that the person who arr giving you problem is from another part of maoist (baidhya pakshya) but it will be very hard to explain since they are still a single party and there is no arms with them (according to law) . One of my friend has interview next week. i will flow details on situation after that on sajha.
For now its a big risk. you can do it but there ia very low chances of getting approved.

@honestycrazy bro you remind me one thing. whenever there was new government and new thing in nepalese politics (when i was in nepal) i used to be so happy and talk with many people about new posibilities of good sign . and my old grand mother used to say " aba tero ghar ma laayera telle bhaat pakai dincha dhukka bhayera bas " .

gardeu bro. interview ma ali kati garo garla. case bigryo bhane ni court mai jane ho. work permit leu basa. college nh jana milcha , resident fee maa. so no worries.
but make sure u be out of status before u apply otherwise they will send you to school back.

 asylum approve nabhaya samma instate dedaina..u'll get workpermit . case lambiyo bhanay barsau lagcha.. ani jhan jhan garro huncha ani wokil layee paisa pani tannaii kharcha huncha.. if you case gets referred to the court then you'll be going through so much stress and uncertainity that u can barely think of studies or career .
.. those are going to be the worse days of your life... so be prepared for that... my best wishes though..i strongly think that if you're a student then employment based is the best route.. even if u have to be consultancy viatch for few years, at least your career will start and u'll have unrestricted green card.. asylee gc have a6 category stamped and can't go and come back from Nepal freely. also, if u plan on faking , remember ur case can be viewed anytime in the future and ur gc, even the citizenship can be revoked /striped because of fraud on the asylum. asylum is a serious business, and it's going to consume years of your life, if you're lucky good luck but if then i hope u have energy and resources to fight that battle. i know ppl who are fighting for years, 5, years, 4 years, 6 years... just be honest , life is not all about gc.. I am in early 30s , most of my friends back home are doing better than the ones in the usa who spent their entire prime time running after gc.. it just sucks the life out of you.... asylum is a big thing, it's not like u go there and throw a bunch of papers and come back with a plastic in your hand.. , only do it if you're a genuine asylee and u don't have any other route... good luck 

 btw, country condition does matter a lot for asylum approval.. ppl from cuba, N Korea, etc have almost 100 percent chance while ppl from India , mexcio have very low possibility....

pshrestha, i have a friend goint to college and his case is pending in court; and he is paying instate fee and getting all state credit from NY state.
If case goes on court u are right you might be stuck for 5-6 years also;i know som1 who is running for 11 years. but you will have all facilities of green card ; only one thing is you cant go to nepal. you will have work permit can run business. go school . whats stressfull on that. i am on f1 and i guess i have more tension that all those my asylee friends. paying 6000 fee, rent, expenses etc.
about lawyer fee ; its fixed until you finis your case. if you wanna hire lawyer each time you went court you will be paying more. but there are so many lawyers who will work till ur case is over in fixed amount.
About sakkali Asylum there is 1 in million from nepal. do you think a person from rolpa and rukum can come here to file asylum? those who are here are from kathmandu and big cities where there is no maoist problem .

From my knowledge, the YCL are still active.. so unless the Maoists dissolve the YCL, the US government is not going to pull out their name from the terrorist list.. tesaile ajhai pani testai nai hola.. kina vane peace ko nai kura garne ho vane ta 2006 ma nai PLA army settle down vayeko ho tara tespachi pani condition jhannai khattam thiyo... or ramro vayo asylum ko lagi..

Also, If you guys think there is peace out there... then you are wrong.. I do want peace for my country

We all nepalese want peace in our country as our everything is back home.
For how long we want peace back home can anyone remember ? Since the day we were born or even our parents were born all we as a human being wanted was peace. Die we ever get  any? 

There was and will always be someone or some group of people that will spark a flame and destroy the whole process. I crossed my finger not to happen but it will its what called "dhurbasatya" for our country.

But i wonder why they havent got rid of baburam yet dont you guys remember how soon prachanda was kicked out?

about Baburam.. even he doesn't have support from a faction of his own party, he does have other Madhesis party's support which made him PrimeMinister.. and he has done a lot to keep the support, recently released about 400 criminals convicted of serious crimes like murder couple of months ago which included also large number of party members of Madhesis...  so i would say he is smart enough to do whatever to protect his position..

You are talking like Asylum is your right from birth and you can go above and beyond to get it. You seem doesn't have any guilt that you are doing wrong and you are suggesting wrong to other. Am I right?. There are 1000s of people all around the world studying here. So they all have to go through asylum process?. If you can't get any scholarship and can't pay the amoun then it is your headache and that doesn't mean you can screw the system. I have seen people here waiting here for GC in genuine way for more than 10 years. You are actually screwing them because Number of GC offered is fixed each year.
Just tell me one thing which I am very confused, Why the hell can't you apply legally like through EB-2 or EB-3 or H1b ??? I am just trying to imagine what would have been gone wrong so bad that you had to screw the UCCIS system?
