Well, Good old days seem to be back again!
And I would like to add my own contribution too; But I would like to request if you can be really patient, because I am not really a fluent writer and I do it only when my mood calls me in!! So I am putting this story as sequences!!
Every thursday: new part, That much I can promise!!and yeah it is a repost!!..:)

DISCLAIMER: यो केवल कल्पनामा आधारित कथा हो। यो कथामा उल्लेखित घटना कोहि कसैमा मेल खान गएमा त्यो संयोग मात्र हुनेछ। :)

The lone stars: an unwritten story

She clicked on the sign in button. There was only mail in her mailbox. Nobody had actually written to her in long time. It had been long time since she had talked intimately, or written intimately to anyone. Usually, it would be “just a hi” letter to friends, and she had become fed up of those kinds of mail; then she stopped writing to anyone. She was too busy and there were many other things to keep in track of than old friends. Sometimes, she would call one of friends, sometimes one of them would call, and that would just merely become hi, hello, what you are doing etc. etc.
She clicked on the Inbox sign; there was mail from someone whom she knew intimately, exactly after three years or so (she had lost track of time).
Quickly she clicked on to see the letter. The message began to unfold.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Smriti,
Had been long time, since we had kept in touch, 1364 days to be exact. I am somewhere else now, you must be somewhere, and I had always wished you would be much happier, at least more than me. I am just keeping up with myself.
After I left I didn’t find myself in need of anyone; maybe I had lost faith too, but I was keeping up with myself. It was then I met her, actually she came to meet me. She was charming, caring and knew what was inside me. I saw you in her, and I knew I was not doing right to her, but I loved her company. She loved me; and I was too much lonely then, I loved her back. I know I am not perfect for such a lovely girl, but this time I don’t want to lose love so precious. I am getting married next week.
I know I am kind of selfish to write something like this to you after such a long time, but I needed to talk with someone who knew me entirely; and I couldn’t think anyone else than you.
I hope you are lot happier, and at your best.
Love,
Aakash
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The turmoil began to unfold in her minds, she had still not forgotten him and reminiscences began to run vividly in her minds.
They had been friends for more than 7 years. They had known each other better than he/ she would know himself/herself, they were soul mate. It was him who thought of breaking the friendship and she hadn’t bothered to keep track of him. She was just like that, coolest as usual, and no loss was great loss for her, just life would go on. He had gone his own way and she her own.
She had seen him first in that coffee shop. She had seen him first with her old friend from school. After that she had met him at college.
“Hey we had met before, haven’t we??” he had come to her.
“Aan coffee shop ma Arun sanga bheteko hoina??” She had remembered.
“Yup, Tmi pani yehin padhne ho??” He had continued the conversation.
“Ho!!”
That day they had become friends formally.
Although they were from different faculties, there was some chemistry between them; they clicked as good friends pretty soon.

For next few days, he remained with himself only, just wandering around the college, and most of time sipping his cup of coffee in that Café. He was in other words, became a Nepali Devdas. He won’t talk much and he won’t notice anyone passing beside him.
But He was “He” and the little things in life couldn’t make permanent change to his personality. He came back to life, just after half a month; He came back to old group but he also had made whole new circle of friend by then. And most of time he would just hang around the old group just to make them think he was acting normal.
He spent lesser time with the older circle, and all the time he spent would be either for some celebration, or for some fun.
That day he just dropped by to say hi to her at canteen.
“Hi” He greeted all the group mates.
“K ho, tmi ta purai gaayeb yaar.” One of them said.
“Hoina, I am right here, just hanging around.” He answered.
“K ho kohi sanga love paryo ki kya ho??” another one pulled his leg.
“Aan tyestai tyestai ho.” He started adding spice.
“Ko sanga ni??” the one he had felt for questioned.
“Bhanyo bhane patyaundaina tehi bhayera nabhanau…” He tried to stop the topics.
Friend she was, Smriti felt the inconvenience in him and divulged the topics.
“Yeh bholi hami film herna jaane, interested??”
“Kun??” he asked
“Caravan!!!” She answered.
“Count me in.” He said.
Next evening, they were at the old Jai Nepal, only place showing the epic “Caravan” at the time. Following the praises all over the leading newspaper in the country, there was big bunch of crowd hanging there to get into the show. With much effort, they got their tickets to the movie, 10 tickets Second class.
The crowd inside was even frenzy. There was only some seats remaining in the third row, and with no other choices, they sat in there to enjoy the movie.
With first 10 minutes gone, they couldn’t even see the subtitles and the movie was just passing above their heads.
“Ma ta corridor ma basera herchhu yaar baaru, kehi bujhe ta marijaaon...” He stood from the seat.
With no one to give him company, he went to find the best place to get nicest view and sat on the corridor floor.
It had been less than five minutes; he saw Smriti coming toward him.
“Khoi maile ta tehan baata subtitles nai dekhena”
“Teso bhaye yehin basera hera na, yehan baata jammai dekhinccha.” He invited her.
He was happy to get company, and she was enjoying the full view of the subtitles.
At interval, they invited other friends to see the movie from corridor, but they were happy with their own view from third row.
The movie was memorable enough, and the togetherness they shared watching the movie sitting together in the corridor remained poised inside their heart forever, small big things to matter in life.

***************************************

The thoughts came from past to present. She had breakfast to make, laundry to be done, and office to attend. Quickly she shut down the computer, and got ready to get back to normal routine she had. Thoughts of him still haunting her mind, she couldn’t think of anything else.
She went to the kitchen, made herself of a cup of coffee, fresh and with that enigmatic aroma, only he was not there to share, and she missed him more. She glanced at her watch, 8:30, and she had to get to the office by 9:00, “Damn!!!” her thoughts came back to reality. She hadn’t got enough time to fix herself the breakfast, quickly she searched the refrigerator and found some apples there, and quickly she grabbed one and ran out the meet the 9:00 deadline.
Aakash was still sleeping when his cell rang; he had installed that “Pal” ringtone at Mumbai and the cell was singing the same ringtone, the favorite song sang by KK for all time.
“Hello”, he answered warily.
“Uutheko chhaina”, His fiancée, Anita was calling.
He looked at his watch, 8:30, Damn!! he had stayed late yesterday also, thinking all night to write or not write the letter, and at last he had written the lines.
“Aan!! Was awake till late last night.” He showed reasons.
“Am I disturbing you?” She was too formal.
“Chhaina, formal nabana na..” He always hated anyone being formal.
“la la narisau na, diunso k gardai chhau??” She asked
“Nothing much, kehi plan chha??”
“Want to go movie?” She knew his avid love for movies.
“Kun??” He asked.
“Jai Nepal ma tyo Salaam-e- Ishq chaleko chha re, haven’t seen hindi movie for while!!”
“Hunchha.” He agreed.
“Meet me at 11:30 at Teku Bakery, aani tehin baata sangai jaamla.” She made quick plan.
“Okies.”
The phone went dead. He hadn’t been for halls at Kathmandu for long time. The old nostalgia for the movies at all those halls was long gone, but he still loved movies, and he had big collection of home DVDs.
When they had reached the hall, they didn’t get the tickets to the balcony, and had to take the ones for Rear Stall, anyways, they could watch the movies.
The hall was all changed, the old seats were gone, and it had new seats, the Dolby system, and everything like those PVR halls at Delhi.
He looked around, and reminiscence ran in his mind, the old corridor was all gone but the memory had remained.

***************************************
To be contd...

Have a good day ya all!!..:)
