I heard arjun Gurung is doing great in Nepal. He got Telephone tender. I also remember Tek Gurung and Thakur gurung. They both were bio day.
But they were a batch senior than me. I was in 89 and out 92 (aandolan le garda)

I remember Mohan dai in hostel mess,I dont know where is he now. I woould like to meet him whenever I go to Nepal. Hope his two son are well educated and doing good.

superuser, JP was my closest friend for 5 years in China. After that, I went back to Nepal, he got a job in an American company. He is living in Chicago or somewhere since last few years. He has forgotten his old friends (at least me!), doesn't reply mails.
Brijesh was working in Nepal when we last met, 5 years ago.
I haven't met Basu and Toya after leaving ASCOL. Heard that Basu studied in Pulchowk and was quite active there in student politics.

I was in bio group from 1991-1993 or 1992-1994 (My SLC was 2048)
Few names i can remember:
madhav thapa, suraj pandey, sudarshan, purushwottam neupane, mamta ghimire, rupesh silwal, usha kharel,niroj manandhar,sujan manandhar, rupak sanjel,suresh adhikari,rosi shrestha,jeevan, sunita pokhrel, sujata poudel, shova mahat(table tennis player) etc...
Sometimes, I used to stay almost all day in that small table tennis hall next to basket ball court except for labs.
Rs.10 meal from that mess was really good. (Actually it was meant for students living in hostel, but we ate there many times for Rs.10)

frequent gunda gang's members: dhak(was not gunda in my opinion, just went with other guys, one time he got beaten really bad by a guy(looked like a body builder), we ran to rescue him,but Tendi came from nowhere and slapped that guy really bad several times, that guy also knew who tendi was i suppose, so didn't fight back but left the scene),

lalchan (usually just stayed infront of the cafeteria with his gang. when one of my friend introduced me to him, i was nervous, he was huge and really red faced guy, but talked nicely.)
I remember another guy called potato(i heard that Kumar Gurung went to protect Potato or someone from Potato's khukuri and got khukuri in his head. Since then Kumar suffered that brain problem.)
There was another guy used to come with a guitar box, but swords inside.

Lots of fights there. I remember another one, Bhagvat Thapa from Gorkha. He had some issues with Sohrakhutte's gangs and they beat him very bad on the street outside ASCOL with rods, khukuris. When they ran away, Bhagvat had 3 khukuris sticking out of his neck and back. Thank god that he didn't die.
After ISc, i went to Trichandra for BSc. Our batch was the last batch for two-year BSc. Then to US. Right now in Texas.

Talking about the price of meal in cafteria, it was Rs. 10.00 for visitors/guests. For students staying at hostel, it was around Rs. 300 per month which comes out to be Rs. 5 per meal serving.
