I used to visit www.india-forums.com for GALA UPDATES/RESLUTS and in the meantime I just entered the threads (Indian Idol) there were lots of Emon/Amit/Chang/Ankita fans but most of them were criticizing PRASHANT saying HE IS THE MOST --BESURA--blaa blaa I was so disappointed to know that hardy there were HANDFUL posts supported to him so I decided to log in myself and support PRASHANT as much as I could by posting some good comments abt him. Thenm CHANA bro (Chana tarkari) is also doing the same, guys u r wel come there.....In fact i was encouraged by CHANA bro...thanks dude for initation:-)

After few postings we got tremendous feedbacs and got numerous PRASHATN supporters in the forums....Not bad :-)

First anu ji sed he was overconfident n ppl bought dat stupidity..n now javed ji says dat he copying sonu...so everyone believes dat for sum reason..Emon fully sed in his chat "I dunt believe in copycats being successful" newaiss.....yepppp Prashant did a very gud job today!!

He was good but not great,

The most closest if anyone could come to this song in these singing competition was Debojit, SRHMP2005 winner. He was just awesome. I still often listen to the audio of this song, sung by Debojit and thoroughly enjoy it

emon didn't even sound like himself today...and I'm not saying this because the judges did...you could tell when he changing from high to low notes

Yeah.. Prashant was really his best today.
I do not know what problem does Javed have with him . He put his mistakes inside the microscope glass and blows them. Otherwise other judges were happy with his performance.
Like wise in Amit's / Ankita's case he overlooks there mistakes. I cannot even understand this that a scriptwriter / lyrics writer ko ek musician or singer se jyada surtaal ke bare me kaise jankaari ho sakta ha . Isn't it amazing guys. Okay i do not say that he doesnot or shouldnot have knowledge but u know what i mean.

1ST NEPALI ANIMATION FILM

Himalayan backdrop & Nepali touch to toon tales



Darjeeling, June 3: Cartoon shows in the hills are ready to don the Nepali garb soon.

Students and teachers of Arena Multimedia Centre here have come up with the first animation film in Nepali, Imandar Dauray (The Honest Woodcutter), which will be telecast on the local cable channel in a few days.

“Animation is ruling the roost even in Bollywood, but we do not have any in Nepali. We think that cartoons have huge demands both in the region and in Nepal and so decided to make one,” said Roshan Kant Ghisingh, the director of the centre.

Ghisingh, who has directed the 15-minute film, is now trying to get in touch with the national channel for a 52-episode show. Set in a Himalayan backdrop, Imandar Dauray is an adaptation of the popular Panchatantra story of a woodcutter who is rewarded by a goddess for his honesty.

“To give it the complete regional touch, we have even dressed the characters in costumes of the region,” Ghisingh said. “We are going through Nepali folklores and plan to come up with a series of similar stories. We hope they will be popular and we will have enough takers.”

A team of 12 students and teachers slogged for almost 8,000 hours in three months to produce the film. “Ideally, we would need 20 professionals for such work, but we always have a severe scarcity in manpower here. We also need to upgrade the hardware,” the director said.

The team has started on a new story and this time a very imaginative one — this 3D film will be about a dinosaur visiting the hill town.

“The world is moving towards 3D and we do not want to lag behind. The new project is being developed by a team led by Sudipta Sarkar, a faculty member of the centre,” said Ghisingh. The members at the multimedia centre also have another 2D animation film, Sunkasri Rani, lined up.

With manpower and infrastructure coming for free for Imandar Dauray, the film was produced without investing much.

“We were lucky that local people helped us by providing back-up voice-overs. But ideally, a 15-minute film would take at least Rs 2 lakh,” said Ghisingh.

sounds really bias to me .You are trying to ignore the truth. Yes he is Indian by nationality, but cultural root is more important then political thing. Ne is Nepali origin and his mother toung is Nepali. what do you want more than that???

True, you may remember when judge Javed asked him that what language do you speak at home. Prashant proudly replied ,"Nepali." He did not say Gorkha or parbate or Hindi or Bangali. what do you want more than that?
