I invited my parents to the US for a couple of months in visitor visa. I was wondering if anyone knows of any affordable health insurance option for folks in visitor visa. I am not even sure if I can add parents who are temporarily here, to my company's health insurance plan, as it would be more hassle to add and remove. My dad is not feeling that great and he needs to see a doctor right way. Any helpful suggestion or direction would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your time and willingness to help me out! Thanks ! Zeepa.

When I visited Europe on a tourist visa, I had bought health insurance through national Life insurance in ktm (I am not promoting this company here). So I guess you should be able to buy from there. But it covered only emergency medical conditions and not routine check-up.

@rk11, Either u have no idea what u talking about or u r dumb enough to comment on this. Health insurance for visiting parents is for non-routine, just in case emergency situations. What if the parents fall ill or get injured while in US, the hospital will bill thousands of dollars which one has to pay with no insurance.
