OP , Elaborate why this was wrong. That guy had a long list of prior criminal history and from what the interview shows ghaite was the one who charged the police first(not necessarily via gun). But Policy should have the right to Fire specially in cases where a known mob is involved.

I do think that the police should have handled the situation professionally though.

I guess the meaning of innocence has changed in Nepal. Throwing rocks at police while they are arresting a murderer or coming between the law and the criminal taking the side of the criminal is not "innocence".

I was curious why Nepal police are more liberal than the US police. Imagine two Blacks throwing rocks at police while they are in the middle of capturing a murder, US police would have shot those rock throwers right between the eyes. Those lucky guys only got shot in the legs.

What if those two were Ghaite's aids and had guns with them too? What if they had fired and killed the police officers? The right thing would have been to shoot between the eyes not legs but seems like the officers were kind enough not to do that.

When are public not going to intervene police in action. When the police comes to work with guns you stay out of their business because they have a duty to save their lives and others around them.

The encounter look place in a neighborhood. Do you think thats a right place? Civilians can get caught in the middle of action. One of the injured guy says he is an IT engineer and his brother has a daughter. Do you people think the injured brothers are gang members? To make the matter worse, the cops didn't have no uniform.
