sajha is a good platform to share your ideas, opinions and concerns. but at the same time, sajha needs to be a lil more responsible as to what thread to allow and what not to allow in it's site.

Few weeks back sajha came out with an idea, where there would be a "traingle" shape in every thread where there would be a pic, preventing uses to unknowing open any thread that might lead to an embarrasement infornt of their family,should the thread have any inappropriate pics. good job.

but isnt it your responsiblility too , to block thread thats promote hate, threads agains bahuns and newars. their needs to be sense of responsibility along with the freedom. and if the users are not folliwing it, and just posting thread after thread , with same biaseness against either bahuns or nepal, then i think sajha needs to step up and do something. be responsible.

good concept, but i was also waiting that this thing would happen and will never start, but tired tired.....

i think that does make sense. i mean it won't be a bad idea to let the admin/moderators check the thread title and the content before allowing the starter to post it.

but the reasons i see it not worth is:

1) it will take a toll on San and his crew to keep checking each and every thread as sometime sajha floods with new threads each minute.

2) what if the poster is in a real hurry and/or if the situation is precarious and urgent. i mean just see the Pratistha's case for an example.

The best solution would hence be:

1) let those people post whatever they want, be it racial, vulgar et. al.

2) if it is obnoxiously vulgar graphically and/or verbally then admin will remove it as soon as they notice it or someone notifies it, as i have seen so far.

3) if it is related to unhealthy and biased discussions as in the case with racist thread, then the simplest solution is to IGNORE. IF NOBODY REPLIES THEN THEY WON"T BE ENCOURAGED, simple ain't it?

I URGE EVERYBODY TO RETHINK BEFORE POSTING IN SUCH KIND OF THREADS. DON"T PROMOTE THEM BY POSTING YOUR UNWANTED AND ENCOURAGING REPLIES.

this triangle thing has caused more confusion than making it simple and informative. In addition to that the advertisement in the middle of the threads are too much of the negative distraction. sajha is becoming too complex for the general surfers now.

whoever is the moderator or admin of sajha, cant you just delete the thread based on racism. i am sure you check sajha periodically too. or why not just delete the person whoever started the thread.

sajha used to be a great platform for ppl to mingle and share things. but nowdays more than half thread is just on bahuns vs newars. i think this not only offends the user but also puts a questionmark on the validity and prestige of sajha.
