Yes I did but way back in '96. The view of annapurna and around is great if you make it before july.Once monsoon starts, it gets cloudy and cannot enjoy the views.Where do you plan to start from - I recommend start from Beni and climb the top of ghorepani and descend to Nayapool. Its awesome ....... enjoy your trek dude !!!!

You should get some decent views in the early morning (but not every day).

But do expect to be feeding a few leeches along the way...

Take some timur with you. Rubbing it will offend the leeches.
The way to Ghorepani through Beni is nice and now much easier as you can go upto tato pani on Jeep. When you reach there why not you visit Jomsom and Muktinaath.
I trekked on that route fo 8 days.

Another nice, short and sweet trek is to start from Nayapool and head to Ghandruk then follow the trail down to Landruk and ascend for Dhampus. You can make it in 3 days.

Tis is the perfect season for trekking. Enjoy.

Swatantratagaamy Ji,

Yes there are basically two routes to Ghorepani.
One is directly from Ulleri to Ghorepani.
Another if from Ghandruk, then to Tadapani and then to Ghorepani.

Tara, Ulleri ko Ukalo killer ukalo bhanchan...

Daraunu pardaina saathi ho, Ukalo sanga.
Just make sure to have a map with you and make sure where to stay.
If you get to any point with good lodge around 4 then stop your day there as there may not be anything on the way for 2 or 4 hours.
Take some Bhuteko Makai (pop corn) and poleko Aduwa and Lasun it will lessen your risk of altitude sickness.
Yo route ma garmi lagchha hidirada but when you stay for a while you can feel the chill of the mountain breeze. So put on wind sheeter for the trek and a big jacket for the rest.

have a great trip. Nigar and local, marpha wine, syau ko sukuti, don,t miss any of them.
Enjoyyyyyyyy.

Nop. Mukundo ji I don't think so.

I went to Muktinath thru Beni (Baglung). But for Ghandruk, I started from Nayapool.
While going from nayapool u might miss Tatopani.

I don't know u by ur nickname here in Sajha, so can't say whether u were with me or not.
BTW Where r u now?

chemicalx ji
The best time to be there is just before the onset of Winter. Dashain tihar ko time.
But even during this time you won't be dumbed. These hilly areas are nice to visit any time of year (except rainy season, chiplo and juka).
Suru ma hidne bela ma aftero lagchha garmi le garda but there is always cool breeze at that part of the country. I would have loved to be there during this Laligurans season.
You can certainly enjoy and don't forget to put on ur windsheeter anyway, no ,matter how hot it feel at the start.

Moj gariyos :)
