Hi,

One of my friend's OPT expired on June 30 2008,  so which means that based on new rule the opt extends till sept 30 and he filed H1 but till today he did not get H1 approved still it is pending.

The college is also not cooperating and says that your OPT expired on that date and ur not in status now.

Now we was trying to transfer from  that college to the new  college so that from oct 1st he can maintain his status. but the university say he needs new seivs number.

Please suggest, what will be good to do or what option we have. what should be the next step

i think if he is not from STEM major then he need to go back to college... but not sure..

he has to wait for the decision of USCIS , hope his case will be approved and due to large volume of work its take time to make decision mine also I got approval yesterday so do check online status. all the best

I was selected in H1 lottery but they ask some query regarding my company , my company send them evidence  third week of july . They got evidence in July 25 and finally my case was approved yesterday. I hope rawbee this make you little bit clear... all the best  guys

my friend was talking to my old university , (university of findlay) they told him that his sevis is out closed. So I am trying to join new college , I am going to college to check with them and I will keep updating if you thing comes.

Hey BetterNepal I am also from the University of Findlay..and my case is also still pending...USCIS asked for rfd just 2 weeks ago..I dont know when will they give the decision.....lets hope we will get approved soon...
