"A deligation from Nepal has been staying at the Indian Embasy in New York. Minister Durga Pokhrel and rest of the delegation have been staying at the Indian Embasy. A reliable source from the Indian Embassy was quoted as saying the Minister arrived at their door late Monday night. She was angry at the Nepalese Embasy official for not making accomodation arrangement. Therefore, she request a friend at the Indian Embasy for accomodation at the Indian Embassy which is blocks away from the United Nation Headquater. Whatever her reasons was, it a huge disgrace for our country" blog

why the heck it's a disgrace ? If the minister and the deligation choose to stay at the Indian Consulate why should we worry and why should we worry even if the minister and the deligation choose to consulate of UK or Finland or Greece or Nigeria or Vietnam or Thiland or Austria or Fiji or Argentina or at consulate of any country of the world ? What does it matter anyways ?

khaobaadi, why does your answer always leads towards negative prospect, man?? "She was angry at the Nepalese Embasy official for not making accomodation arrangement." do you even read what they have written before even start barking at people?? dude, everytime I read yoru posting, I can sense some kinda fustration. There is something inside you that wants to come out but you've supressed it so deep that and to hide that, you try to take it out on something or someone else. Give your soul some peace, will ya?!!

She used to be a die hard Congress women before 2003. She did her Ph.D from Haward University(USA). Long ago, before 2042 B.S, she was accused of trying to kidnap late Price Dipendra from wester Nepal. Later on, she was released from jail.

It does not really matter what she used to do. I do not care where she got the degree from. If she freaked out to Nepalese embassy not having good accommodation then you can figure it out the personality she has . I do not think any one who is smart and graduate from Haward University do such think to go next door ( Indian embassy).she should be proud of what she has. It is better to stay with some Nepalese people then begging for accommodation with stranger.

Royal Nepalese Embassy and Nepali Officials of UN are fed up by the amount of service they have to provide to the Nepali delegation. Almost every month, some Nepali minister or officials are visiting USA for this or that reason and they expect services arrival and departure transfers, accommodation and so on from the Nepali Embassy. Its not only the minister or officials, the embassy people are asked even to provide transportation and accommodation services to the relatives--kaka, mama, bhanja, bhatija etc of ministers or secretaries.... I believe, when the officials from Nepal come to USA on some business or in conference or whatever, certainly they get some daily allowance. They have to spend this money and they can stay in hotel. They shouldn't expect the embassy to provide them courtsey services all the time. And its embarassing that the minister of an independent and sovereign country takes shelter in the embassy of another country. Are there no Nepali people in New York to take refuge in?

"when the officials from Nepal come to USA on some business or in conference or whatever, certainly they get some daily allowance." - The allowance isn't enough for burgers and fries. "They have to spend this money and they can stay in hotel." -No, they can't afford hotels with Nepalese allowances. "They shouldn't expect the embassy to provide them courtsey services all the time." - These days Nepalese Embassies abroad have nothing else to do other than provide accomodation and run errands for Mahila Sahu's family, friends, and hangers-on. "And its embarassing that the minister of an independent and sovereign country takes shelter in the embassy of another country." - Nothing is embarassing for Mahila Sahu's chamchas. " Are there no Nepali people in New York to take refuge in?" - Which self-respecting Nepalese will agree to play host to Mahila Sahu's chamchas?
