My Nepali friend works there in a multinational company, and is dieing to meet someone Nepali there. Of course, city's famous residents, Udit Narayan and Manisha, are in his wishlist, but failing that, he would love to meet anyone likeminded Nepali there.

Apparently, yesterday, he was telling his junior local worker, an Indian engineer, how shitty Bombay really is, and he got back a mouthful from that relatively old man, 'hame bhi pataa hai Nepal kaisa hai' etc. He suddenly got scared of the locals! He swore to me that he really didn't mean to insult the local workers about the shittiness of Bombay (which he says is one hundred times worse than Kathmandu, and one thousand times worse than Pokhara, humm), but somehow it slipped away from his mouth, as he couldn't take it anymore:)

I did my engg. from Bharatiya Vidyapeeth, Mumbai for 4 yrs and worked at GS for 1.2 yrs.

Your statement -- "Apparently, yesterday, he was telling his junior local worker, an Indian engineer, how shitty Bombay really is, and he got back a mouthful from that relatively old man, 'hame bhi pataa hai Nepal kaisa hai' etc."

Try to figure out what is wrong here???

We are Human Beings everone needs RESPECT irrespective of any Netizen.

Well, cadmium,

Try to read the whole part, rather than first half. I also wrote after that

"He swore to me that he really didn't mean to insult the local workers about the shittiness of Bombay (which he says is one hundred times worse than Kathmandu, and one thousand times worse than Pokhara, humm), but somehow it slipped away from his mouth, as he couldn't take it anymore"

As for me, I would have said that to Indians anyway. Have you ever noted how some Indians talk down Nepal? 'ye to hamara country ka part hai' bla bla. Anyway, My intention is not to inflame nationalist debate here. What was wrong if my friend said what he felt in Bombay?

You should learn how to respect other. I never heard of the name of the shitty school you went to, but you definitely didn't learn anything good there.

Byebye.

Just by getting a job at Goldman Sachs, you think you are smart? Wake up,dude. Nepali are everywhere from at universities as professors to at IMF, World Bank, Citicorp, Credit Suisse, Lehman Brothers, LECG, as researchers and top executives, and no one ever says he is so learned and makes snide remark WITHOUT reading the whole posting.

Btw, what do you do at GS? Clerk? chiya osaarpasaara garne? I bet you got DV, and got a small job there, and are oh so proud of it.

Again, READ THE WHOLE STUFF FIRST AND THEN MAKE COMMENTS.

I see a lot of devotees here everyday who wants to learn for living and not like your viewpoint -"but somehow it slipped away from his mouth, as he couldn't take it anymore"!!!

You are Great Man and May be God. You won I lost.

Thanks.

Of course, you lost. You shouldn't have made those sniding remarks at the first place. All I posted was a remark by a lonesome friend there. PhD from IISc is such a big deal for you! Who gives a damn to that here!

And what are you doing with ISKCON guys? I have heard they are implicated in child molestation. I hope you are not learning that kind of art of living!
