Ok juss curious !

Why people post about themself saying they r doing this ,etc . Is it juss that they want attention ? Is it that they think they r doing really good and people should know about it ? Is it juss show off ...
No offense meant to anyone ...saw this rapper guy , lawyer , engineer etc .... Now by posting about urself , whats the point u guys prove ?
I know few people who have very very respectful job and r the only nepalese in North america doing that job in their field and no one has even got close to them ... I speak to them and they r so modest about their proffesion , and they juss go " well i dont have to prove anything or show it to anyone, i am who i am "

I agree with you. I have noticed some (at least one) since long time. I hate those people who try to use Sajha to advertise their present or past acomplishments so shamelessly. I think he is just an attention seeker and self advertiser.

I don't agree with you. I think, if people comunicate with others what they are doing, then that could bring a lot of mutual benefits. By knowing ones' profession, you could start building your own networking in your profession. You could share many useful information. I have seen people here in sajha sharing programming codes, exchanging legal suggestions, sharing new scientific advances, etc.etc. There is nothing harm unless you offend somebody by advertizing yourself though I am not sure if there is any way to offend others by advertizing self.

However, we should not force anybody to tell about themselve if they chose not to do. It is all individuals' choice how he/she present among community. Some people may prefer low profile despite an extraordinary acomplishment, some others may prefer more exposure.

If one tries to advertise beyond what he/she deserves, it will certainly backfire to him/herself, because his her peers are around to judge on his every activity. But if one decides not to tell anything about himself, he is decided to remain unnoticed. who cares whatever be his so called achievements.
