I have won EDV 2008 but I have the case number in the 15 thousands. Is there any chace for me getting the visa? Any help would be appreciated.

Of course you have a chance, but it looks a small chance as October is coming near.
As far as I know, From October 1st 2007, all cases for EDV 2008 will be closed. I've never won one and not sure 100%, so you can take this only as someone's thought.

You can call in their office in KY and ask for the current Case number they are processing for Nepal.

Just asking this because one of my friend has his case number in 14 thousand and more, he got his second letter last week and he is here in USA.

So, you might be lucky, and u r already lucky one, will get your second letter soon.

All the DV cases have been current for DV 2008. I think it means everyone who won the DV will get the second letter.

The interview for the DV 2008 will start only in the first week of October. I think you guys were talking about DV 2007, which closes this month. So, I think I have very little chances being in the 15 thosands ( case number ). If I expect a second letter, when would that be ??? any ideas.

For DV 2007 al numbers for asia were current in august, but at the same time I am sure most of visas were already exchausted. My number is in 16K region for DV2008 and only hope I can hang on to is that all numbers become current in aug again next year, i chose to do AOS initially but that would be useless with high number so i am changing back to CP and hope for the best, I know chances are very very remote but there's nothing that can be done but wait.

hey my dad won the lotto for year 2003 and his case was somehwere like 17 or 18 thou... and we ended up winnin it wid flyin colors... becas my dad got that easily becas he had more than 40 years of british army experience... but other ppl got rejected... so i think if ur case ends up at last u mite have a lil bit more slim chances of getting it... but if u are very qualified for it... then they'll take u for granted... so good luck.... and may god bless u...

huh prem bro i think u mis read my comment... i never said anyone to join the army... i jus said my dad was in the british army for a long long time so we got DV very easily... and the person who was taking our interview didn't even asked us anything all he said to us was... congrats... and then he said to my dad u r a very qualified person... and welcome to u.s... lol... aru manche lai ta k k kura sodhera tension deko thiyo and we saw so many ppl's dream of coming in u.s. shattered rite before our eyes....
