                    I'm writing this to get  information regarding the institute. How is the institute ranked overall and How helpful is the career center? What companies hire in job fairs? How hesitant are companies to hire F1's for internship? If there are any recent graduates from the institute please share your overall experience from the institute. I've checked its ranking and other stuff online but nothing counts more then the remarks from someone who goes there! If you are one of them please feel free to drop a line.

                        Thank you for that great critical information. I am a CS major. It's really good to know about the internship and where the graduates are right now. US news ranks Tech as "Masters 19."  I am doing my undergrad but the institution is renowned  for it's masters program(quite a contradiction). Oh well!

                       It's great to know that you got the scholarship letter. I didn't get any information regarding scholarship (that's just my luck). I am keeping my options wide open here. UMN is a great school I'd love to go there (despite the severe cold weather) but I don't want to spend my days working full time just foot the tuition and other expenses.  I am planning to get into a small but good institution where I can focus more on studying rather then work, until I graduate. Still if i get any scholarship from them I'd definitely go there.  UMN  was one of three very reputed institution that I applied to.  Perhaps my GPA was a crucial factor. Anyway wish you all the best for your good future.

massachusetts institute of technology will be better option for you, especially for cs major like your self. location itself provides you great opportunities.

I know it's going to be hard to pay my tuition (I got the 50% waiver of the difference between resident and out of state students, which is not surely big amount, you know that.). And I got the letter just few days ago, keep checking your mailbox, may be on the way.

                        Yes I am currently an undergrad student. I am sorry that it took me a while to get back to this thread. NMT is also planning to give me that 50% scholarship that you mentioned. I have made a firm decision to attend NMT. I'm really glad that I made this decision. Instead of trying to be a small fish in the big ocean, i'd rather be a big fish in a small pound.

                         Any information that you give me further about New Mexico Tech would be greatly appreciated. Thank you once again for going through this thread.

Did you just say free housing? What's the catch 22, Lahuredai? I checked the website that you gave me and they mention the general on going rates etc but I didn't see anywhere about free housing. What are the criteria? How do you qualify for one?  More info please! And yeah you said you would be there next year, is that for masters?

Which school did you transfer to? and why so?
