From what little he's carrying, I doubt he was forced to do it so someone could make some profit! I am only guessing here, but he might have wanted to emulate his dad/mom and they gave him something light to carry. This isn't to say child labor isn't a problem in Nepal, but this may not be an instance of it.

so some of u people dont find it abuse huh....great... and syanjali about ur words But back home it is part of our life and a learing process to adjust to the present situation and preparing for future. Have think of helping them ?
I wish every one is like you, aingnam01 have oppertunity to go to privet school ( no worry about food ) and then to USA for higher education . Atleast she is wearing a sandle and nice clothes. yes i had such opportunity... i wish that too..that all fellow people had oppurtunity to go to school and colleges. but its education which makes us aware about such thing rite?? i am just giving my opinon about the picture...if u think thats not abuse then do the same thing with ur kids regardless of what people talk about and yeah....also thinking as a part of ur so called " life".

I concur with Syagjali. Don’t rush to judge. The kid in the picture could be just emulating what his parents were doing, as Boredji put.

so if this is child abuse then i should be filing case against my mother and father. The reason is since i was 7 years old i use to fetch water from dungedhara at least 40 liters a day. Thanks for showing a way to sue my parents.

sajha addict lai tyo sigane fuche cute lagecha. jau gaera sigan pusera khai deu. Because it is norm in nepal and they look cute in what they do. We don't want these cute pictures. Accepting these type of picture as a norm will not help nepal. If somebody comes out children buying cigarette probably the guys here will say wow so cute. We did same thing as well. Coming back to the picture that dipicts nepal , the below picture dipicts nepali girl. Jastai kaam pare pani sawan ko mahina ma mehandi launa paye pachi nepal ko kt haru lai kehi chahidaina. Although she don't want to be photographed or probably she just want to show her mehandi.

no_quiero,
I like this child and he is so cute and innocent. The picture doesn't tell me he goes to school or not.
Truth is every child is beautiful the way he/she is. They do not have polished and learned opinions like ours.
So, why we are talking about abuse and other stuffs?
If he is in that circumstance, he will be adapting in his own way. He will find his own way. His parents definitely do not want their child to suffer. But again, it is village life. Somebody told me even child like him to work in the village because of workload in the family and to manage hand to mouth stuff.
It seems we are too much educated and we see everything in different perspectives.

Who ever has grown in rural area knows it. Her dress looks nice and seems she has been well taken care of. The pictures may be part of the child play and the phographer's luck to capture it. Thanks Nepe. But the orignal picture is replaced and our comments seem irrerelevent.
