one of my friend got in serious legal trouble and to get out of it, it cost him abt $30K in credit card debt. we group of 4-5 people are trying to help him but our help is only enough to pay the interest. does anyone have any advice in this matter? can he ever come out of this mess?

Show me proof of income and I can loan 30K at the rate of 23%. Payment must be on time every two weeks until the loan is paid off.

Isn't CC debt interest is 21% ? I don't know how authentic your offer is but I'll let him know. You wouldnt give a stranger that much money just by looking at the paystub so what do you take for guarantee ?

Hey smarty pants, this is simply an advertisement of my service made on this thread. There will be stacks of paperwork that will be signed and reviewed prior to committing. PM me and I will send my contact details if your "FRIEND" is interested.

If his credit score is good, I'd apply for credit cards with 0% apr with low balance transfer rates (some have free balance transfer offer too). That buys him 18-24 months of interest free debt.

You can call the credit card company and ask them for an economic hardship payment plan, They will close your credit card and give you a good payment plan with less apr. I got 0.99% from Discover and 7% from Amex. Your Score goes down a bit but they will report your regular payment to the credit bureau. This will significantly lower your monthly payment burden and gives you the opportunity to plan your finance better.
