Can you please explain me why did you ask this biased question ?

Are you a patient trying to determine if you should go to American Doctor or Nepali Doctor trained in US?

Are you a doctor trying to get popular opinions ?

All the docs take Hippocrates oath and they treat every body equally and with full ability, don't they ?

There is however a risk associated with Nepali doctors who may reveal your private matters with other Nepalese and community as a whole especially if the doctor does not have that much of professional ethics or respect of patients privacy. I have experienced that !

I would prefer Nepali Doctors trained in US here in US.
They would understand my needs better.

Hey man, what are trying to get at??? You do not go for particular orign doctor when you go to hospital. Again, just imagine the possibility of finding a doctor of Nepalese origin when you need them, here is US.

It doesn't matter i think as long as they r licensed physician in the United States.Need a doctor who speaks your language than go for Nepali Doctor.

I do not understand why this is an issue for discussion. I really do not understand what explorer is trying to get at.

As I mentioned before, the doctors have to complete Residency. After residency, there might be fellowship. Then the salary that they get is pretty good. Usually its from 250 gs to 300 gs. (Correct me if I am wrong anywhere). If a doc gives up that sal goes for private practice, he mustta be very good and should make better money. So, whats your point???

don't know u r intention of this thread. If you are trying to gather openion about Nepali doctors in USA, they are equaly good and in some field better than USA counnterpart.
It is not bad idea to promote Nepaese community if it brings good result from professional prospective.But you enter the wrong place if you have that concept.

I do remember sometime, there were some group of engineers trying to promote professional association in sajha and involvement was not more than 4-5.But you write a crap thread and there will be bunch of self proclaimed intellectual posting nonsense.

No wonder why we nepalese community are always lagging behind and feel happy to call as bahadur gorkhe etc, I have seen the Jews community very closely, they have Call centre dedicated to community where they provide one point information you ask regardless of any professional field.

I know there are more than 10 nepali doctors in NY alone, 7 prominent Lawers at least
15 Ph.D. more than 200 engineers but they are not under any professional org to promote together or community rather they are devided according to political ideology and pulling each other legs rather than promoting each other.

What Nepalese org has to do is to stablish small call centre where nepali can be employed and all the profesional,entepreneur can pay the service fee as per referal.
I see most of the refugee are languishing and in trap of some cunning law form. Wish these people could get service from Nepali lawyer itself. (We also should not forget that quality and service should be at par execellence)

I see lot of graduate working in Pizaa and resturant as waiter or gas station( no offence, work is worship regardless what u do ) just because lack of proper contact. If every year 40,000 Indian comes here in USA in H1 why not most of our nepalese are not getting H1 after OPT and again they have to join some other crap course just be in status.

Guys, my intention is not to argue with anybody neither poke nose on some other issue. I am silent reader of sajha, we could do lot if we come together for better cause rather than posting negetive comment,pulling each othert and showing greatness who can post the best thread etc.

No wonder, Sajha is great medium for bringing Nepali together, we should be thanful for the site promoter.

if s/he wanted to promote professional organization/ perspectives then indeed Sajha is not a place. Plus the method used and question posed was extremely poor.

There is ANMF for that purpose.

We hang out in sajha to have some fun, pass spare time and occasionally learn some thing.

I suspect this explorer is a future MD.

Knows a lot about nepali docs in US.
