I just came to Sydney about a month ago in Student Visa.
First from the family. No friends, no family members.
I am looking for a job. Can anyone suggest where to go look for job?
On Campus? Off Campus? Mall? Shopping Centers? Tourist Centers? Restaurants? Any will do.
I will highly appreciate any suggestion. I have been looking for job door to door everywhere but no luck. May be I don't know where and how to apply for a job.

i heard lot of australia .............keta haru bidesh ma janay saath k k na paunay gari tyanha ko kunai kura nabuji hamfalchhan,.....................tyahi ho.........chokta khhana gako budi jhol ma dubi mari............................oki the best place for nepali to get work is contact any indian or pakistani,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they are the -person who gives job .................kuiray ko pachhi matrai lagyo bhanay hunay bala kehi chhaina...............arko juni ma bidesh jada sochnay buddi aawos
No way!!! Victoria is the place to be ..I am not sure about Syndey, but finding part time job is not very hard ...and you surely don't have to run after Indians & Pakistanis ..heard thats a common sceen in the US ..anyways ..best job you can find as a student is either as a FB retail for events, housekeeping, restaurants ....customer service for events
Don't even think of finding a job with your bach degree ..customise your CV with related work exp ..or rather make up some from Nepal ..restaurants ..hotels and stuff ...Melbourne has loads of events ...Spring racing carnival, boxing day cricket, Aus Open and heaps of concert .soccer..footy..so to begin with go to seek.com or go to Pinnacle - they do immediate hospitality staffing, Spotless - MCG (Footy, Cricket) ..Delaware - (Telstra Dome, Olympic park AUs Open) ..and Peter Rowland for Spring Carnival..hurry as I am sure they've strated recuiting for all this ..go to www.seek.com and look for Hospitality - F&B, Housekeeping ..you get paid well ..don't run after indian / nep restaurants as you will only get 8 to 9 AUD ..where as these places will pay you atleast 17 to 18 AUD for weekdays, $20+ for weekends and ofcourse for Public Holidays $40 ...so thats it I think I have give you lots of info ..now get on the website..explore melbourne ..sitting and posting in Sajha won't get you a job to find a job is struggle for everyone ..Good Luck !!...Yuppie ..Victoria the place to be
2008 ma australia ko lagi visa chaina re bhannes suneko chu...tesaile Nepali ketaharu aus jana paiyo bhandai dhamadham gaka chan....i heard that average 15 people are getting visa for aus...good luck guys...
I dont think U.S is any better for students, working with minimum wage, trying to support yrself, pay rent, bills and most importantly expensive tuition fee...But if u want to make quick money, i think workin as waiter or waitress in the kuires restaurant is the best idea. One can easily make atleast 60-100 dollars a day just on tips and even more on the weekends.
yo!!!!! timi lai bhanna sajilo 6 jaba timi actual k ho face gare pachhi matrai thaha hun 6....................nepali ko sabai bhanda saji lo bastabikta indian ra pakistani ho
During my student days, i used to work as a server but stupid indians didnt let me take the tips, when they saw me trying to sneak into my pocket, they wud find it out somehow. tyahi kaam american restaurant ma garda, my finanical problem was solved to some extent..they just asked for my ssn,i worked myself up from seater to server, i dunno about tipping policy in Australia though
