The King of Swaziland has sacked his justice minister after he caught him in bed with one of his 14 wives.

Security agents burst in on Ndusimo Mamba at a luxury hotel outside the capital Mbabane to find the minister hiding in the base of his lover's bed.

He had been conducting an affair with 22-year-old Nothando Dube, the king's twelfth wife and a former Miss Teen Swaziland.

Mr Mamba is expected to be jailed for a considerable amount of time, according to the Daily Mail.

Ms Dube, who has has been placed under house arrest, will reportedly remain under 24-hour surveillance for the rest of her life, and will have to live with King Mswati III's mother.

Swaziland is one of Africa's last remaining absolute monarchies.

The 42-year-old king chooses a new wife year once a year at a 'reed ceremony', when every unmarried woman in the country has to parade half-naked in front of him.
