I'm planning to attend Lamar university (masters) in engineering. Do anyone in sajha have idea about the cost to attend. Does Lamar offer assistantship or need to pay instate tution? Please somebody let me know. Thanks again.

As far as i know, Lamar mostly don't provide assistantship even the assistantship wouldnot be enough for u. However the tution is fairly cheap over there. I think u need to rely on out of college job.
There is a big neplese community i guess.
Try to check with them.

@ V2001 sorry for late reply, In Chemical Engineering from New Mexico. I have heard that it has good job prospects after masters graduation. If any of you have idea about it please let me know. And by the way, how much $$$ u need evey semester to get through it.

Yes it is economic. I pay in-state fees and I currently pay around $3500 per semester and it is with health insurance. Also the University is a very good one for Chemical engineering. You need to have a minimum score of undergrad GPA times GRE. And if you meet the criteria, you are self eligible for graduate scholarship of $1000 per year and it leads to in-state fees.
The graduate assistant jobs are easy to get on campus but a lot of students don't care because they already have a in-state. You can work other on-campus jobs or work outside which lots of boys do.
