I had a great time at the ANA convention. Please share your experiences.

ANA was a total ripoff. This was my first ANA, and undoubtedly my last one too. It sucked horribly. What a waste of my hard earned dollars!! I would have been much happier donating it to some charity. That's what I am going to do from next year.

this was my first ANA n will be my Last ANA.Such a horrible Convention.

We wasted $25Registration $35 DJ nite.Waited on the lie frm 9 to 11:30 n finally they let us in.Than a long line to enter......When we got in "OH GOSH" Wat a waste of my $70.DJ'S was so HORRIBLE.Sound system was totally ridiculous.U can't hear what they were playing.This DJ's was trying to copy MTV's scratching Style but they don't have those equipment's....I heard them playing frm youtube.If U're thirsty than long line's in bar.WE GOT RIPPED

If U're thirsty no water's in vending machine since we paid $100/night.If U go to a bar than U got to wait in a line.Those bouncer's won't let U in.There were a lot's of police coz those ANA organizer's ripped our hard work money n knew that there will be a fight.That is why they were prepared from the beginning with all those cop's n the bouncer's.I only had a lunch buffet n it was $10 with no choice of veggie's n meat curry's.U cant get a sec plate.The plastic plate was too small with lil space for curry n meat.WE GOT  RIPPED.

Since 90%stayed in Marriot Hotel.They charge for breakfast $15 n small coffe was $1.80.Actually according to the amount they charge for a rm it has to be free.WE GOT RIPPED.

40 min's to basketball court.40 mins to soccer field....Only if U don't get lost.If U get lost than forget it.

Beautiful ladies swagatting us with our traditional Namaste but behind that smile,Namste cost $5 for Namste Magazine.Part of goin to be Ripped.

My friend's had dinner there and they were complaining too bout the amt they charge.Thank's god....I didn't eat dinner there.They got RIPPED

Well,I only attn'd DJ nite and they ripped me in those thing's.Well,I rented a car with GPS but it was just a waste.It was good for me if Only I gave those money to some charities.Car I rent was $720.I thought it would be so much fun and was excited to attend ANA but when I went there I can't wait to go back to NEW YORK.ANA suck's.

 something Dungana the ripper(organizer) left so early...maybe he knew that people will try to hit him.Hope he's HAPPY now that he earned so much money by Ripping people.Hope this year's, ANAorganizer's are full of smile's n will take a long vacation with the money they ripped from us.

Well, everyone worked hard for the money they spend in this ANA but everyone got RIPPED.

ANA organizer's of BALTIMORE  totally RAPED US........

They should refund the money to each n every person if they are totally ashamed of how they organized.

Nyway's MR Dungana hope U will have fun with the money U ripped from us.

Have fun with that money.Save it for ur wedding ceremoney.

It was my First  participation.I went only in Grand concert.I had lots of fun.I wish I could go san fransisco next year.

Thanks buddy for the review, i kinda suspected this would happen. I haven't been to any of these conventions, and won't make any plans for atleast some coming years.

good for U that U went there only for the concert.We reached there on Thurs@midnite.

On Fri nite we planned to watch  fashion show n programmes but the tkt's were sold out so we hung out in bar.Later we went to get some air n when we retuned,those bouncer's won't let us in to go to bar.Saying that the capacity in the bar was full.At 1 AM the bar closed n Police's n bouncer's were shooing us to go back to room.

Sat DJ nite story I posted here so next day on sun morning we went back to NY.So Happy finally I reached here.

Even the most attractive club here in NY won't cost tht much of amount n 2n half hr's line.

Those who didn't attend the convention R the luckiest this year.

Now the ANA organizer's found another solution to make more money by ripping people n for their safety hiring lot's of cop's n bouncer's.

66666,    After hearing ur story,feel sorry to u and bad about the organisers.I wasnot there and would never attend any ANA.I know how they try to rip u off in Nepali programs.Better to go to a bar or a club than to drain ur money in these kinds of programs.

 i hear you my bro..mine was first and last...what a horrible event...at the DJ party since i couldnt even buy  a beer at the makeshift bar, i went to the hotel bar for a while, when i came back at 1 am . .marriot GM tells us the place is closed..i am just glad there were offduty cops otherwise the the Org committe guy and GM would have been in swarga by now(trust me i hate hate hate to fight or even argue)...what a disater..One of the DJ is really is a good friend of mine and he refused to play buz of the worst sound system i have ever heard of....

wow for those asshole orgs...

Okay this was my first ever ANA attendance:

The things i like

*lots and lots of beautiful adorable nepalese beauties scattered all over the place. I was trying to locate one ugly girl in that crowd and i swear to god i couldnot find none. I cannot say that abt guys though lol they were all ugly like me....

*The nice bunch of guys singing  real cool songs with a madal outside the ground in dj night.

*no crapy fights as security was really good.

*nice fashion show...real creative

* karishma manandar sitting infront of me and i could actually snap her free pics lol during the concert and other distinguised nepali actor actresses.

*fake fire alarm.

* distribution of alchohal without checking the IDs.

 

The things i didnot like

*crapy dj night with poor audio quality and the wait for it was terrible. And to make it worse they even play few crapy indian songs grrrrrr.....when there were thousands of good nepalese remix music where we can dance. If it was not for the pretty girls around me i could have snapped and went to jail for public disturbance or property damage lol.

*Rude condescending behavior of the hotel management to the nepalese people.

*no deepesh k bhattarai in concert and the sound quality was as usual too crapy.couldnot hear a word out of the vocalist lol.

*some young artist from nepal with dark glasses and MJ dance moves but what in the world its almost 12 in the night dude take ur glasses off haha.

Anyways i was impressed to see all the nepalese coming together for a good cause. And by the way stop being so negative about everything all the time guys. All the time and effort they dedicate to organize such a good event without any mishaps and u are complaining abt 30 and 20 bucks. Grow up. I spent a lot of money too but I am glad to show my presence in my community gathering. It was 2 good days of nice relaxation among all the fellow nepalese. And i am planning to go to next ANA convention too in SF. I will rather give my money to hardworking nepalese people organising such an event than any charity lol.

 

i have to agree that this years convention was the worst overall. The sports committee did a great job and hats off to Ritesh and Adip for putting together a great basketball and a soccer tournament.

I dont understand why the organizing committee would resort to scalping tickets, one thing that they have to understand is that we come to the conventions to meet people and have fun and that the is reason why we are up till 3-4:00 in the morning because we are meeting old and new friends and just socializing. if you take that away from us then ANA convention will eventually die out. I hope the BANA people are reading our comments because we paid hundreds of dollars to come to the convention and all they are concerned about is how to pinch more money out of their patrons.

I hope Team SAN FRANCISCO will do a better job next year.....

Wow!!!! I have never been this disappointed in ANA before. I have been going to ANA for a couple years now and i have never seen such a disasaster before. This ANA08 was all about making money. The organizers of Baltimore sucked big time. Knowing every year hundreds of nepalese come for gathering and socializing in ana they booked a small hotel. The bouncers sucked...if you go outside one program just to use the restroom they would not let you back in...what kind of crap is that...they checked id's in the bars and wouldnt let you go in unless you stood in a line and waited for ppl to come out and then they only let 15 at a time go...the tickets for the programs were sold out because of the capacity. The game venues were too far from the hotel and not to mention the 2hr wait in the line to get into DJ night...which by the way sucked asss.

expenses are too much in ANA. Transportation, hotel room, registration, ticket, Damn..thats alot of money. wasted...I have never heard of buying registration and ticket at the same time to get into these programs. phewww this is gonna be my last ANA...Im freaken done!!!

I'd rather take that money and go for a nice vactation wid my friends and family instead of wasting it on ANA...and i suggest all you guys out there do the same if ya'll want to make good use of the hard working money you've made cuz ANA is never gonna change...this is what they do all the time...they need to learn a lesson.

The crowd was good but bad management and not really organized.....6 out of 10. The funniest part was... I heard a nepali girl getting bangged next to my room!!! Three night straight.....

THIS ANA HAS THE WORST MANAGEMENT TEAM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WONDER WHY THEY ARE CHARGING SO MUCH FOR EACH AND EVERY EVENT AND ON TOP OF THAT REGISTRATION...

SOMEBODY IS MAKINE HELL LOT OF '$' MONEY OUT OF THIS..

oh besides all that marriot put all kinds of charges on my card.....i was ready to take them to the court for 250 that they put for smoking...wtf....i wasnt even in the room........................WORSEST ANA EVER

on top of all these expenses, I bumped into few kids who were raising $10 per person to supposidly publish an emergency white pages of everybody living in the US. Did any of you sign up with these kids to have ur names published?  WTF.....everybody was trying to rip off, even these kids who looked no older than 15 years old......
