First u need to root your phone. It is fairly easy, takes about 5 mins but if u dont know much about rooting watch some videos on youtube (thats how i learned to root my phone). After rooting, download rom manager from playstore. You have to install both premium and free version of it. Then make backup of you current rom. You will see back up current rom in rom manager, if you do something wrong while installing new rom, you can use backup. Then,in rom manager, there is download rom. Download cyanogenmod night and install it. Be careful while doing this coz you might brick your phone. So watch some videos. Let me know if you need any more help.

Has anyone tried upgrading to ICS in Tmobile G2x? I have rooted my g2x but I dont know if I should wait for official release(which i think is gonna take a while) or just install the custom rom?

My brother has g2x and he has unofficial ICS and i must say you would better be on gingerbread than in that kind of ICS. There is lots of bugs like gps not working; face unlock not working. So wait for it go look for CM9 or Aokp.

I have ICS in my 2 years old Samsung Vibrant...Also Jellybean rocking in my GNexus...
Search XDA for stable rom...If it is Samsung Galaxy S II from T-mobile, check 'www.team-passion.com' . The rom is fairly stable...also check team-passion in facebook...

For galaxy s 2 for tmobile i bet Aokp from Team kang is best ROM. 100% stable and better than CM9. And its blazing fast.
Check out on aokp.co
They support more devices too and they just released new version yesterday . Check that out

@jsp...if you upgrade Lg thrill with cm9 version of ics, you will lose 3d features.
